I don’t believe money belongs in politics, especially at the local level.
I won’t be providing lawn signs.
It’s a waste of money and they are bad for the environment. In Sydenham District, we also have many multi-residential properties, so it can get messy if residents want to display signs for different candidates on the same lawn.
I reached out to the other Sydenham District candidates and suggested that we agree to a “No Lawn Sign” campaign. As an alternative, I have suggested that we could create 8.5” x 11” paper signs (fully recyclable) that residents could tape to their doors or display in their windows to show support for their preferred candidate.
